Scotland Saffia cut her teeth developing and making HETV Drama at STV Studios before moving into freelance producing, development producing, and script editing. Her credits span Script Editor and Assistant Producer roles on dramas including SCREW, ELIZABETH IS MISSING and THE RIG. These credits have gathered awards and nominations including RTS Scotland Best Writer, BAFTA Scotland Best Scripted Television Programme, RTS UK Best Single Drama, and an International Emmy. Saffia works across all genres and is particularly drawn to stories exploring power and relationship dynamics, queerness, and contemporary issues through a character-led, entertainment-first lens. She’s a graduate of Short Circuit’s Producer Accelerator and is a Producer on the inaugural NFTS Sean Connery Talent Lab. She is currently producing her first funded short alongside developing long-form scripted projects with emerging and established screen creatives.
