Switzerland Rhea Plangg graduated in politics and contemporary history. In 2012 did documentary research (u. a. L’expérience Blocher, J-S Bron, Locarno ‘13). Since 2015 she’s producing shorts and working in casting (“Soul of a Beast”, L. Merz, Locarno 21; “Unrest”, C. Schäublin, Berlinale, 22), while moving towards development and co-production of fiction features (“Sauvages”, Claude Barras, “Something you Said last Night”, Luis de Filippis, TIFF, San Sebastian, Rotterdam, Invelle S. Massi, Venice Orizonti 23). In 2021 she founded her own company, Lido Pictures whilst collaborating still with Amka Film. Her focus lies in supporting emerging female talent and the development of politically and socially relevant storytelling, including genre-crossover. Rhea is fluent in German, French, English and Italian and represents the Workers Union at Kunsthaus Zürich.
