After studying fine art in Trondheim, with one year away studying film and working as a cinematographers’ assistant in NYC, I started out in 1991 as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator, making record covers, posters, book jackets and children’s books. At the same time I began making music videos and short films, later working for a while in television. I was asked to be the cinematographer for norwegian film director Margreth Olin, shooting two full-length documentaries and and one feature for her, and later, the first feature of director Dag Johan Haugerud. After starting to write music for dance films and dance pieces, I decided to study choreography at Stockholm University of Dance and Circus, graduating with a masters’ degree in 2010. My first feature, “The Rules for Everything” premiered in Norway in 2017.
