Dermot O’Dempsey

Ireland Dermot O’Dempsey is an Irish creative producer working across independent fiction and documentary. He is currently Development Producer at Shudder Films / Mother Tongues, where he supports a slate of distinctive, multi-language features by emerging UK filmmakers. His recent credits include KNEECAP, the Irish-language feature which won the Audience Award at Sundance 2024, followed by a BAFTA for Best Debut Feature. Before joining Shudder Films, Dermot worked as a freelance creative producer and production manager across television, animation, music videos, commercials, and short films. Dermot is passionate about humanist and character driven stories that challenge assumptions, & make sense of complex worlds.
