Last month, immersed in a unique setting shaped by the tides, seabirds and the beaches of northern Finistère, over a hundred guests including European film professionals (producers, international sales agents, institutional representatives…), audiovisual students and local cultural representatives gathered for LIM MEET.
Organized by Le Groupe Ouest as part of the LIM – Less is More program, the event showcased feature fiction film projects carried by a new generation of committed European filmmakers.
Among the participants were also 12 European producers taking part in the Development Angels program, designed to familiarize them with the narrative development tools and methods developed by Le Groupe Ouest.
The program offered all participants the presentation of 16 projects from the 2025 selection and 2 advanced-stage projects from previous editions, followed by tailored meetings between filmmakers and producers, all combined with convivial exchanges over seafood.
To launch LIM², which begins in 2026, LIM MEET pushed the boundaries in terms of immersive and technological aspects: the presentations and individual meetings plunged participants into a vivid immersion at the heart of the projects, following the unique perspective proposed by LIM – Less is More: use of sound, boards, scenography, closely mirroring the work conducted with filmmakers throughout the year.
This approach to development, unique in Europe, is informed by recent research in human sciences and cognitive neuroscience, offering an unprecedented framework to stimulate creativity, rethink collaboration and thus enrich projects from their development phase.
LIM MEET confirmed its ambition: more than a co-production market, a privileged space for exchanges and European collaborations, stimulating creativity and co-development prospects in a setting conducive to nature.
A month later, the Groupe Ouest team keeps in memory these splendid days of sharing and conviviality by the sea.
Looking forward to the next edition!
