Denmark Jonas Kærup Hjort is a Danish screenwriter and film director based in Copenhagen, Denmark. He has a background in theatre both as an actor and director prior to attending The National Film School of Denmark. In 2017 he graduated with the critically acclaimed short film, ‘In a Month’, an absurd and dark-humoristic visionary examination of the human existence. It earned him the FilmFunen Talent Award at Odense International Film Festival alongside several nominations at international short film festivals. His debut feature film ‘The Penultimate’ premiered in the First Feature Competition at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in 2020.
